Mogą być to m.in. metody: zgrzewanie tarciowe z przemieszaniem (FSW, z ang. friction stir welding) zgrzewanie tarciowe doczołowe obrotowe (RFW, z ang. rotary friction welding) liniowe zgrzewanie tarciowe (LFW, z ang. linear friction welding)
