Trayeutoria En 1988, se llicenció en Ciencies Biolóxiques, pola Universidá de Sevilla, realizando los sos estudios de doctoráu nel Centru de Bioloxía Molecular Severo Ochoa del Conseyu Cimeru d'Investigaciones Científiques (CSIC) y la Universidá Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), nel llaboratoriu del profesor Juan Modolell, y so la direición de la investigadora del CSIC Sonsoles Campuzano. En 1993, treslladar a Suiza, pa trabayar nel Llaboratoriu del profesor Ernst Hafen na Universidá de Zúrich. Y en 2007, pasó a Cambridge pa trabayar como postdoctoral independiente nel Llaboratoriu de Bioloxía Molecular del profesor Peter A. Lawrence nel Medical Research Council (MRC-LMB) en Cambridge (Reinu Xuníu), unu de los centros de referencia d'investigación básica en Bioloxía Molecular.
Ye profesora d'investigación del Institutu de Neurociencies d'Alicante, dependiente del Centru Cimeru d'Investigaciones Científiques, y de la Universidá Miguel Hernández.
