Šahovska olimpijada 1927.

mini|300px|Države učesnice (zelena) Šahovska olimpijada 1927, koju je organizirala FIDE i koja se sastojala od otvorenog i ženskog turnira, uz nekoliko pratećih događaja sa svrhom promocije šaha, održana je od 18. do 30. jula u Londonu.Šahovska olimpijada 1927. na OlimpBaseu Tokom ove olimpijade održano je i Prvo svjetsko prvenstvo za žene.

Turnir Turnir se igrao u Westminster Central Hallu. Na olimpijadi je nastupilo 16 ekipa sa ukupno 70 šahista, koji su igrali po Bergerovom sistemu. Odigrano je 480 partija, a timovi su igrali na četiri table. Vremenska kontrola u partijama bila je 1,5 sat za prvih 30 poteza, te 30 minuta za svakih sljedećih 10 poteza.

Rezultati Prvi pobjednik bila je ekipa Mađarske u sastavu: Géza Maróczy, sa šest pobjeda, Géza Nagy sa 8 pobjeda, tri poraza i tri remija, Árpád Vajda (+5 −3 =5), Kornél Havasi (+4 −1 =3) i Endre Steiner (+6 −2 =5). Drugo mjesto osvojila je Danska: Orla Hermann Krause (+4 −5 =6), Holger Norman-Hansen (+11 −2 =2), Erik Andersen (+8 −3 =4) i Karl Ruben (+7 −3 =5), a treće Velika Britanija: Henry Ernest Atkins (+3 −1 =8), Frederick Yates (+7 −5 =2), George Alan Thomas (+9 −0 =6), Reginald Price Michell (+4 −5 =4) i Edmund Spencer (+2 −1 =3).
