Ornithostoma („ptačí ústa“) byl rod pterodaktyloidního ptakoještěra, žijícího v období rané křídy (věk alb, asi před 110 až 100 miliony let) na území dnešní západní Evropy.
Historie Tento taxon má poměrně spletitou historii. Jeho fosilie byly objeveny v sedimentech souvrství Cambridge Greensand v Anglii. V roce 1859 byly přírodovědcem Richardem Owenem popsány jako druhy Pterodactylus sedgwickii a Pterodactylus fittoniOwen, R. (1859). Supplement (No. I) to the Monograph on the Fossil Reptilia of the Cretaceous Formations. Order Pterosauria Owen, genus Pterodactylus Cuvier. Monographs of the Palaeontological Society of London, pp. 1–19., později byly příležitostně řezeny do rodů Ornithocheirus a PteranodonSeeley, H. G. (1871). Additional evidence of the structure of the head in Ornithosaurs from the Cambridge Upper Greensand; being a supplement to the "Ornithosauria". Annals and Magazine of Natural History, Series 4. 7(37): 20-36. Dnes je tento ptakoještěr považován za vědecky platný a samostatný rod a druh, náležející do kladu Azhdarchoidea. Averianov, A. O.
