Opis A. thyrsiflora je lijana ili penjački grm. Grane uglavnom glatke ili slabo dlakave. Listovi: Sastavljeni od 5–9 liski. Liske duguljaste, kožaste, glatke. Cvjetovi: U gustim, piramidalnim cvatovima (12–35 cm). Mali (~8 mm), bijeli do crvenkasto-ljubičasti. Plod: Duguljasta, tanka mahuna (5–10 cm), s izraženim žilama i krilcima. 1–3 sjemenke po plodu. Rasprostranjenost i stanište: Raste uz potoke u planinama (do ~2000 m). Južna Kina i šire područje jugoistočne Azije i Pacifika. Fenologija: Cvate: svibanj–lipanj Plodonosi: kolovoz–studeni.
