La Serie Promozione è stata la 4ª edizione del campionato svizzero di calcio di Serie Promozione (26ª di seconda divisione). La squadra vincitrice è stata il Black Stars di Basilea.
Stagione Novità Formula Partecipano 49 squadre, suddivise in sei gironi all'italiana, cinque composti da otto squadre ciascuno e uno da nove squadre a carattere regionale: due gironi Ovest (Svizzera romanda), due gironi Centrali, (Svizzera centrale) e due gironi Est (Svizzera orientale). Le due squadre vincitrici dei rispettivi gironi (Est, Centrale e Ovest) si affrontano tra di loro in una gara unica in campo neutro, per stabilire le tre squadre che si affronteranno in un Girone Finale di incontri di solo andata, per stabilire la vincitrice del torneo. Queste tre squadre parteciperanno anche agli Spareggi promozione-retrocessione, affrontando le tre squadre ultime classificate dei rispettivi tre gironi della Serie A.
