The Horus Heresy è una serie di romanzi di fantascienza, pubblicati in Inghilterra, a partire dal 2006, dalla casa editrice Black Library. La serie racconta dell'Eresia di Horus, una devastante guerra civile galattica, ambientata nel XXXI millennio, che si verifica 10.000 anni prima dell'ambientazione rappresentata dal wargame da tavolo della Games Workshop: Warhammer 40.000. Il dettagliato e vasto background di tale ambientazione è stato uno dei principali fattori di successo a livello mondiale del gioco.
I romanzi della serie sono stati scritti da diversi autori della scuderia della Black Library e non sono strettamente conseguenziali. La storia dell'Eresia di Horus è presentata in modo non lineare da libro a libro, in quanto molti eventi sono paralleli, per cui alcune storie possono essersi verificate, prima o dopo le vicende raccontate in un altro romanzo della serie. Molti libri sono, ad esempio, paralleli, quindi raccontano dello stesso evento visto da visioni differenti o quello che succede in quel medesimo istante in un'altra parte della galassia. The Horus Heresy: Primarchs Nel 2016 Black Library ha lanciato un piano quadriennale con l'obiettivo di dedicare un romanzo ad ogni primarca (esclusi i due primarchi perduti), impegnati in vicende ambientate nell'epoca della Grande Crociata o prima dell'arrivo dell'Imperatore. La serie prevede l'uscita dei romanzi in edizioni limitate da 2 500 copie numerate, seguita dall'uscita dell'edizione regolare circa tre mesi dopo, in concomitanza con l'edizione limitata del romanzo successivo. Le storie di questi romanzi sono indipendenti, anche se ci sono occasionali riferimenti ai romanzi della serie principale. Il seguente elenco mostra due date d'uscita.
