Misumessus oblongus è un ragno appartenente alla famiglia Thomisidae.
È l'unica specie nota del genere Misumessus.
Distribuzione L'unica specie oggi nota di questo genere è stata rinvenuta in varie località dell'areale compreso fra il Canada e il Guatemala; e sull'isola di Saint Vincent
Tassonomia Genere rimosso dalla sinonimia con Misumenops a seguito di un lavoro degli aracnologi Lehtinen e Marusik del 2008.
Dal 2008 non sono stati esaminati altri esemplari, né sono state descritte sottospecie al 2014.
