Gêneros Gêneros: Porphyridium, Flintiella
Müller et al. não indicaram uma família formal para estes gêneros. O sistema de classificação de Saunders e Hommersand (2004) validou como ordem Porphyridiales, incluindo como família Porphyridiaceae.
