A 2.ª cerimônia de entrega dos Interactive Achievement Awards (ou Interactive Achievement Awards 1999, no original em inglês: 2nd Annual Interactive Achievement Awards) foi a segunda cerimônia de premiação anual realizada pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Interativas (AIAS), no qual homenageou os melhores títulos da indústria de jogos eletrônicos lançados no ano de 1998 e início de 1999. Ocorreu no Hard Rock Hotel and Casino em Las Vegas, Nevada, em 13 de maio de 1999.
Ao contrário da primeira cerimônia de premiação do Interactive Achievement Awards, o evento não ocorreu em Los Angeles, mas apesar disso, o IAA foi realizado após o primeiro dia da convenção e feira de jogos Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 1999. Não houve um anfitrião específico para toda a premiação, mas os apresentadores incluíram Bruce Shelley, Peter Molyneux, George Ailstair Sanger, Bruno Campos, Zachery Ty Bryan, Gilman G. Louie, Ben Stein, Tia e Tamera Mowry, Chris Roberts, David Perry, Danica McKellar, David Gallagher, Coolio, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jez San, Thomas Galvin e Nicholle Tom.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time foi o jogo com maior número de indicações da cerimônia, bem como foi o mais premiado, onde destes inclui o maior prêmio do Interactive Achievement Awards, o Jogo do Ano. Ocarina of Time perdeu aenas uma das 7 categorias em que esteve concorrendo, onde nesta o prêmio foi dado ao Pokémon Red and Blue da Game Freak. O criador da franquia Civilization, Sid Meier, foi homenageado com o prêmio AIAS Hall da Fama, no qual foi apresentado por Shigeru Miyamoto, que recebeu o prêmio de Hall da Fama no ano anterior.
Visão geral Seguindo o mesmo modelo apresentado na primeira exibição do Interactive Achievement Awards em 1998, a Academia de Artes e Ciências Interativas montou um júri com mais de 100 desenvolvedores, artistas, produtores, designers e programadores da indústria de entretenimento interativo que selecionou mais de 70 jogos para disputar nas 30 categorias da premiação, no qual duas delas foram destinadas a homenagear os veículos de informação dos jogos.
Categorias como "Jogo Online de Ação/Estratégia do Ano", "Jogo Online de Família/Tabuleiro do Ano e "Jogo Online de RPG do Ano" foram adicionadas a premiação, uma expansão para homenagear os jogos eletrônicos dedicados ao multiplayer, enquanto a principal categoria da cerimônia, "Título Interativo do Ano", foi renomeada para "Jogo do Ano".
