Lista startowa Wszyscy kierowcy korzystają z samochodów Dallara F2 2024, które napędzane są sześciocylindrowymi turbodoładowanymi silnikami Mecachrome o pojemności 3,4 litra. Zmiany w kalendarzu Przed sezonem Formuła 2 i Formuła 3 poszły w ślady Formuły 1, zastępując rundę na torze Imola drugą rundą w Hiszpanii, rozegraną na nowo wybudowanym torze Madring. Runda na torze Baku City Circuit odbędzie się dzień wcześniej niż zwykle – wyścig sprinterski zostanie rozegrany w piątek, a wyścig główny w sobotę, aby dostosować harmonogram do obchodów święta narodowego kraju.
W trakcie sezonu Rundy 2 i 3 miały odbyć się na torach Bahrain International Circuit i Jeddah Corniche Circuit, jednak zostały odwołane z powodu wojny Izraela i Stanów Zjednoczonych z Iranem. Zostały one zastąpione rundami na torach Miami International Autodrome oraz Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, co oznacza, że mistrzostwa odbędą się w Ameryce Północnej po raz pierwszy. Rumda na torze Bakı Şəhər Halqası zostanie powiększona i będzie obejmować dodatkową sesję kwalifikacyjną oraz drugi wyścig główny.
